In 2016 the Agile Manifesto celebrates its 15th anniversary.
As we have three originators Ward Cunningham, James Grenning and Arie van Bennekum of the Agile Manifesto at OOP, we will hear from the source about the creation in Snowbird, Utah 2001.
We will use a method called „Collective Story Harvesting“, where all participants distill important aspects by concentrating on selected perspectives. Besides hearing James‘, Ward‘s and Arie‘s stories with the ears of all participants, you might get inspired to use „Collective Story Harvesting“ in your context.
We’ve run this process at Agile Coach Camp with Markus Wittwer as facilitator, Martin Heider as a story teller and about 30 participants. From that experience we know that it can be an insightful and touching experience to the story teller. That might be a kind of gift for James, Ward and Arie, which aresome kind of heroes in the second row.
Furthermore it provides the participants a much deeper insight about the told story, because they hear it not only with two, but every participants ears. And it might be good to hear and talk about the roots of Agile as contrast to nowadays „Agile“ prefix of everything.
Last but not least the most important reason: 15 years of Agile Manifesto and having two of the originators at OOP is a unique opportunity that shouldn’t be missed!
